Educational Tour to Chowkhandi Tombs, Bhamboor & Haleji Lake

On this Educational tour people will have a chance to get inspired with the Antiquities of Sindh while visiting Chowkhandi tombs, Bhambore museum & ruins along with Haleji lake wildlife sanctuary. Just 30 minutes away from Karachi lies an astonishing necropolis called the Chaukhandi Tombs. The word Chaukhandi means ‘four-cornered’ and it takes its name from the complex mausoleums of Baloch tribes.

After spending an hour we will leave for the ancient city of Bhambore situated 37 miles north of Karachi, near Gharo. Bhmboor was capital of Sindh in 10th century and served as port in ancient trade route, linking China with the West.

After having lunch we will leave for Haleji lake ( Ramsar site no. 101), which is one most important breeding, staging and wintering areas for water birds in southern Pakistan, supporting between 50,000 and 100,000 birds annually, including Dalmatian Pelican, European Wigeon and Black Coot. Thousands of Black-crowned Night Heron roost in the area.
